What's new in the latest release of spotlightonspend (v1.6)

Our dedicated development team has been working hard to add new features and functions to the spotlightonspend platform. Here's an 'at-a-glance summary of what's in the latest release:

For the General Public

  • Treemap Chart

In addition to the Table and Bar Charts, a Treemap has now been added as an alternative way to visualise and compare categories of spend.

For Public Bodies

  • Redaction Overrides

The Classification Override Tool now allows a Public Sector Organisation to redact the names of potentially sensitive suppliers themselves or un-redact a system set redaction. Please contact your Account Manager for more information.

  • Supplier notes

Customers can now add descriptive notes to an individual supplier

  • Periodic spend publication end date

Customers can now request to have an 'end date' for their published data. This means that new periodic data can be checked by the customer before it is published to the public. Please contact your Account Manager for more information.

  • Option to not include departments in the raw data downloads

Customers can now opt to have their departments 'switched off' in the raw data downloads should the department names contain sensitive information.

Back end changes

Spotlightonspend now runs on Azure, Microsoft's cloud computing offering.
